Just a bit about search engine optimization.

If you would like to get better results with your article marketing, you need to have the proper article tools. If you are trying to do everything manually, it is kind of like walking across the country as opposed to driving a car. It is possible to make the journey on foot, but it would not be very smart, if you could afford to pay for transportation.

The single greatest method for search engine optimization (SEO)is to get a lot of backlink to your website. What, exactly is the definition of a backlink? It is simply a link to your website from another website. Generally, the more backlinks you get, the better the search engines will treat you.

There are certain parameters for making your backlinks effective. First, you should spread them out, in terms of when you get them. Too many, all at once could could lead to a devaluation of them from the search engines. Forget about entering old school reciprocal links agreements with other webmasters, where you link to them and they link to you. These days, that just cancels each link out. They need to be one way links. Also, don’t use, Click HERE, or the URL of your website as a link. Instead, use the actual keywords (the search terms) you chose during your keyword research.

For example, if your website is about shoes, you might choose RED TENNIS SHOES as your link. That would help you get much better search results whenever anybody did a search on that keyword. Now the question is, since these links must come from the outside, how are you going to be able to get other websites to link to you?

That is what article marketing is primarily about. Write articles and submit them article directories. Be sure to use keywords to link to your website, from the author’s resource box at the bottom of each article.

By the way, even if you do not yet have your own website, you should use article marketing (often called, bum marketing), as a way to drive targeted, evergreen traffic to your affiliate sites. Once you get some articles that make it to page one, the way to keep them there, and move them toward the top, is by publishing new articles. (However, instead of linking to your affiliate pages, you will link to your highly ranked articles.)

Whether you are striving to get your websites, or your currently published articles, to the top of the first page of search results; if you do not have the right article tools and go about it correctly, your time and effort will go largely unrewarded. Every article directory needs unique content in the article bodies, but that’s not all. In order to get your backlinks to stick, you need different author names, as well as different titles, and different resources boxes to go along with the unique content. Trying to do that manually is like walking from New York to California.
